		<description>I agree with all of these points. I&#039;m someone who does a lot of PHP programming, but doesn&#039;t like it. PHP is in a weird place...it sucks, but it gets the job done, and it&#039;s not as terrible as it could be. However, I think the points you bring up are completely valid. Basically, for its entire life, PHP has been the victim of its own success. It wasn&#039;t supposed to be like this, initially. It&#039;s grown organically into this monstrous language, and that&#039;s been the big factor with its ugliness, I think. So, that&#039;s why I think that &quot;Get rid of old stuff&quot; is the most important thing on the list. All of PHP needs an overhaul, some TLC, and a little bit of thought in the design.</description>
